Ticket cancellation insurance allows you to get reimbursement of your ticket cost if a covered unforeseen event prevents you from attending the Olympic Games Paris 2024. This includes events such as accident, illness, work obligations, moving house, and other unforeseeable events. You can view the complete list of covered reasons in the Terms and Conditions.
Ticket cancellation insurance is offered as an option when purchasing your tickets. All you have to do is add it to your basket and your tickets will be insured as soon as your order is paid.
If you cannot attend the event (or session) for a covered reason and want to get reimbursed for your ticket cost, we invite you to visit the website https://paris2024.allianz-protection.com/ and click on « File/complete a claim ». Please note that each event (or session) is covered by a separate insurance policy. If you cannot attend several events (or sessions), you will have to submit one claim for each event (or session) you cannot attend.
You can submit a policy cancellation request via this online-form. You will be issued a refund if you cancel within the stated withdrawal period noted in your confirmation email. The reimbursement will be made directly by Paris 2024.
This insurance product is available to residents from European Union and Switzerland. Fans who are not eligible due to their country of residence cannot benefit from the insurance contract and will not be covered in the event they have to cancel. However, if you are not eligible and have purchased ticket cancellation insurance by mistake, you have to complete this online form to confirm your bank details and then send it to Paris 2024 in order to be reimbursed.
Your policy number is indicated in the confirmation email you received after subscribing to the ticket cancellation insurance.
If you purchase tickets for several events and select the cancellation insurance, all of the tickets in your basket will be covered by separate insurance policies issued per event and type of ticket. This will enable you to submit a claim for reimbursement for one or more tickets if a covered reason prevents you from attending some or all of the events. You will also have the opportunity during the withdrawal period to submit a cancellation request for some or all of the policies.
Yes, if you can no longer attend the event due to being diagnosed with COVID-19, you are eligible for reimbursement for the cost of your tickets, subject to the conditions of your policy.
Yes, you can submit a claim for reimbursement of your ticket, subject to the conditions and within the limits indicated in your policy. If your companion is also insured, he/she can also file a claim for reimbursement.
Yes, if you or your event companion is placed into individual quarantine and can no longer attend the event, you are eligible for reimbursement for the cost of your tickets, subject to the conditions of your policy. Please note general lockdown is not a covered event.
Reimbursement for cancellation due to a pre-existing medical condition depends on your country of residence, and the local regulation. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for your ticket cancellation policy, which can also be found in your confirmation email.
Yes, if you can no longer attend the event due to a family member being hospitalized, you are eligible for reimbursement for the cost of your tickets, subject to the conditions of your policy.
No, the ticket cancellation insurance does not cover the fear of attending the event.
No, ticket cancellation insurance does not cover for changing your mind about attending the event.
Yes, if you experience complications with your pregnancy, you can cancel and file for reimbursement. General condition of pregnancy, without complications, is not a covered event under your ticket cancellation policy.
The consequences of epidemics and pandemics are part of the general exclusions. However, in the context of COVID-19, we have decided to cover specific individual situations, expressly referenced in your insurance policy. As an example, a general lockdown is not a covered event, but your individual quarantine for having been exposed to an epidemic or pandemic disease is covered. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for more details.
The consequences of natural disasters are part of the general exclusions. However, if either you or an event companion is a first responder called for duty to provide aid or relief for a natural disaster occurring during the event date, you can cancel and get your ticket costs reimbursed according to the conditions, and within the limits, indicated in your ticket cancellation policy.
